Quick Facts

What the team says about Steven

“Steven’s ability to connect with families is rooted in years of working with young people in many different settings. Before becoming a photographer, he worked at Boys & Girls Club and as a wilderness therapy guide for teens. Today, he serves as a special education teacher during the school year. These experiences have shaped his patience, empathy, and steady presence.

Steven’s greatest strengths as a family photographer are his adaptability and his ability to put people at ease. As a father of two young boys, he understands the rhythm, chaos, and tenderness of family life. He knows when to lean into the energy, when to slow things down, and when to let kids simply be kids. No two families are the same, and Steven meets each one exactly where they are.

At the same time, Steven brings a high level of professionalism to every session. He’s prepared, calm, and intentional, balancing playfulness with structure so families feel supported from start to finish. The result is an experience that feels relaxed, meaningful, and true to who they are. Working alongside him, we see how his warmth, adaptability, and skill come together to create family sessions that are playful, honest, and deeply human.”
